Zalgiris Kaunas (14-1) ended the week with a victory at the Garliava Sports Center. Tomas Masiulis’s team defeated Nevezis-Paskolu klubas Kedainiai (4-12) by 88-73 (18-20, 22-20, 29-6, 19-27).

At the start of the game, Dustin Sleva scored from under the basket, Mantas Rubstavicius was accurate from a distance, and Deividas Sirvydis made free throws, 7-2. Sleva connected from mid-range, Laurynas Birutis made a powerful dunk, and Sirvydis hit a three-pointer, 14-10. Birutis finished the possession with another dunk, while Ignas Brazdeikis and Dovydas Giedraitis added free throws, 18-20.

Azuolas Tubelis started the second quarter with 4 accurate free throws, Arnas Butkevicius did the same twice, 24-25. Between two three-pointers by Sirvydis, Birutis made a layup and Brazdeikis added free throws, 34-33. Brazdeikis scored another 5 points, while Dominykas Grunkis scored his first point in a Zalgiris main team jersey, 40-40.

In the third quarter, Tubelis started with 4 points again, Butkevicius scored in a fast break, Sleva scored, and Tubelis made a free throw for a technical foul, 49-40. Rubštavicius hit a three-pointer from the corner, Tubelis scored from under the basket, and Brazdeikis tallied 6 points in a row, 60-44. Giedraitis made a three-pointer, Sirvydis broke through under the basket, and Moses Wright scored 4 points, 69-46.

Brazdeikis and Birutis scored at the start of the fourth quarter, but the visitors closed the gap slightly, 73-59. Then Sleva scored 5 points in a row, Rubstavicius added a two-pointer with a foul, Ignas Stombergas also scored 5 points in a row, and Grunkis closed the game with free throws, 88-73.

Brazdeikis didn’t miss a shot for 16 points. Sirvydis added 13 points, Sleva and Tubelis finished with 11 points each.
